John and I are very thankful for how God has blessed our children at Goodpasture. They have been very blessed by their experiences at this school, to God's glory. Thank you for your godly leadership here. We appreciate your influence over this school and many others who have allowed the Lord to work through them in doing His work to minister to His precious children.
Many of the faculty have loved, encouraged and prayed for our two children since we started at Goodpasture and we consider them dear friends and thank God for each one. We are eternally grateful for the personal investments that have been made into the lives of our children which will ultimately have an impact for His Kingdom. We are very grateful and we will miss Goodpasture - after our 12 year involvement.
Between us, we believe that one of the reasons God brought us here from New Hampshire was for Goodpasture! He works in mysterious ways!

December 6, 2011Dear Mr. Perry,I just wanted to express how very thankful and blessed my husband and I are that our son, Connor, attends Goodpasture. Not only are we very pleased with the outstanding education he is receiving, we are gratified that Goodpasture offers students additional enrichment opportunities like last night’s Christmas play, “A Lot of Trees,” directed by Mrs. Matherley. This is the second opportunity we’ve had to witness Mrs. Matherley at work. Connor was a Munchkin in last year’s “The Wizard of Oz”. Our family was extremely impressed with that production’s quality and professionalism, the student’s performances, and the teachers’ direction and leadership, especially those of Mrs. Matherley. Last night’s play just increased our appreciation of her talents. How anyone can get first-, second- and third-graders to sing and dance in unison is indeed gifted. (I imagine it’s as easy as herding cats!) Yet, the students were focused, engaged, and energetic. They performed their little hearts out, and most importantly, appeared to be enjoying every minute of it!
Mrs. Matherley’s enthusiasm and joy for her work is as obvious as it is contagious. She appears to be that special breed of teacher who makes learning fun. Albert Einstein once observed that "it is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." I believe Mrs. Matherley embodies Einstein’s sentiment.
Goodpasture and its students are fortunate to have such a talented, dedicated and energetic teacher as Mrs. Matherley. In fact, Craig and I have been extremely pleased with ALL of Connor’s teachers: Mrs. Griffin, in kindergarten, and Mrs. Wallace in first grade.
While my husband and I agonized over where to send our son to school, God led us to the right place. It’s good to be a member of the Goodpasture family.Sincerely,Angela Martin
Our family is still relatively new to GCS as our son is completing his second year of enrollment. The apprehension that he felt prior to transferring quickly dissolved as he began to interact with not only the high quality team of educators, but also as he witnessed the fine character of his classmates. Goodpasture provides an academically challenging experience that will stage our son for a competitive collegiate and work career. Moreover, his teachers demonstrate genuine care and love by supporting him in times of ease and in times of struggle. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my son joins a group of young boys every Friday morning before class to have a private devotion.
Our kids need this edge to overcome the dynamic challenges they will face in their lifetimes. We are thankful for the Christian backbone of Goodpasture and for providing this alternate choice of education to our family.
We started Goodpasture in the Little Red Schoolhouse for Kindergarten and would not have my children any where else! I have two sons, one graduated in 2011 and my other son is in 9th grade. Goodpasture has been such a blessing to my family. The academics have pushed my children to succeed, but the Christian foundation is where they are being rewarded. Morals and values begin in the home, but I appreciate that my children also hear and learn about them at school. I would recommend Goodpasture to any family looking for a school that is not only preparing their child for a bright future academically, but preparing their spiritual life to love the Lord and be a witness of His love.
WOW! I’ve heard nothing but positive comments from our teachers about your students, teachers, & parents. We are so grateful for the outpouring of generosity shown to our students. As I walked in each class I witnessed happy Amqui children having so much fun with their equally happy Goodpasture friends. As your students were leaving I delighted in listening to their comments about this experience.
Please give a special thank you to Conner in 6th grade for sacrificing his time alone with one of our most difficult students. Conner spent his entire time with one student and the teacher in the Kindergarten Integration class away from his group. We were not sure this would work because of the circumstances of this situation and the type of day our student was experiencing. It worked out beautifully! I spoke to both Conner’s mother and his teacher and expressed my gratitude for his willingness to do this. You should be very proud of your students – DON’T TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED!
Thank you again and we look forward to our next time together. THANK YOU and MAY GOD BLESS YOUR EFFORTS!
