Goodpasture’s upper middle school is made up of seventh and eighth grade students. Our school is well prepared to help these students through the difficult times that young teenagers typically face. We are dedicated to providing an environment that is conducive to spiritual, academic, and emotional maturation. Goodpasture Christian School takes great pride in offering a challenging curriculum. We understand that the academic experiences of upper middle school students often have the greatest impact on future success. Successful work habits are encouraged and developed during this time, as these habits can become what a person carries with them for life. Academic preparation and success in the middle school are two of the most important factors for college and professional success. When students leave the upper middle school, they are moving into young adulthood. Our program emphasizes students taking responsibility for their work and actions as the school seeks to develop young adults who are personally accountable and responsible citizens in their communities as well as learners prepared for further educational experiences.
To help students reach their full potential, Goodpasture offers a variety of activites to upper middle school students. Courses in theater, band, and chorus are offered through our fine arts department, while extracurricular opportunities include football, soccer, cheerleading, volleyball, baseball, basketball, and softball.
